In the framework of the new rating study, 1620 universities in 82 countries were assessed, from which the best 1001 were selected, including 25 universities from Russia.

According to Kirill Markov, Acting Rector of the Lobachevsky University, these indicators confirm UNN’s successful development as a leading global research and education center.

“We successfully demonstrate our improved standing in such important areas as the quality of education and the development of international activities. From year to year, the number of foreign students choosing our university goes up, which is also reflected in the new QS ranking, where we have gained 27 positions in the “International Students” indicator. The university is developing dynamically, it provides high-class education and occupies a leading position in many research areas. This is possible, among other things, thanks to UNN’s participation in the Russian Academic Excellence Project,” said Kirill Markov.

The ranking of the world’s best educational institutions is compiled by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds based on six criteria: Academic Reputation, Employer Reputation, Faculty/Student Ratio, Citations per Faculty, International Faculty Ratio, International Student Ratio.
