A consortium of European universities led by the University of Glasgow has started its CEERES (Central and East European, Russian and Eurasian Studies)  project.  Within the framework of the project, an international joint master’s program will be launched whereby students will have the opportunity to study individual blocks of disciplines at different universities throughout Europe. During the first two semesters of the program, students will study at the University of Tartu (Estonia) and the University of Glasgow (UK) respectively. In the third semester, program participants will be able to continue their studies at one of the universities in Eurasia, including   Lobachevsky University. The goal of the program is to train highly qualified professionals with international experience to work in government bodies, international organizations and associations. Other career opportunities for the graduates include higher education and business.

The CEERES project builds upon the successful experience of cooperation between Lobachevsky University and the University of Glasgow. Since 2011, the two universities have been engaged in the implementation of a joint master’s program  in the framework of the European Commission’s  Erasmus Mundus project.
