Lobachevsky University delegation visits Beijing to strengthen ties with Chinese partners

A delegation of Lobachevsky University including Konstantin Kemaev, Head of the International Cooperation Department, and Natalia Lartseva, Head of the Asia-Pacific Centre, paid a working visit to Beijing. The aim of the visit was to strengthen existing ties with Chinese educational institutions and discuss new opportunities for cooperation.

During the visit, UNN representatives visited Jinjilie Limited Liability Company (JJL), which is a long-standing partner of Lobachevsky University, as well as Bridge Cultural Exchange Company, a partner with which UNN has been cooperating for many years. Important issues concerning the admission of foreign students were discussed at the meetings, including admission rules, admission on quota and participation in Olympiads. Particular attention was given to the organisation of summer schools and a preparatory faculty, which will help international students adapt to the educational process in Russia.

The delegation also took part in the First Russian-Chinese Forum “Culture of Education”, which became an important platform for the exchange of experience between representatives of higher education institutions of both countries.

Lobachevsky University representatives also took part in China Education Expo, the largest educational exhibition in Beijing, which brought together participants from  educational institutions, government organisations and businesses from different countries. As part of the event, Konstantin Kemaev and Natalia Lartseva held a number of meetings with colleagues from Chinese universities and educational organisations to discuss opportunities for academic mobility, joint programmes and research.
