Lobachevsky University held the Days of Russian Education in one of the mountainous regions of the Republic of Kyrgyzstan. At the Chkalov Gymnasium No. 2 of the regional centre Naryn, UNN representatives gave popular science lectures for school students and presented information about the university and Russian education in general.

It should be noted that UNN started its cooperation with the Chkalov Gymnasium in the early 2024, and the first results of this joint work included the victories of the gymnasium graduates in the international Olympiad "Future Researchers - Future of Science". Based on the results of the Olympiad, the winners were granted quotas from the Government of the Russian Federation to study at leading Russian universities. Most of the Olympiad winners will pursue higher education at Lobachevsky University.

"We have been actively developing our interaction with educational organisations in Central Asian countries in recent years. We cooperate not only with universities, but also with schools. The Chkalov Gymnasium in Naryn is one of the leading Russian language schools in Kyrgyzstan, it also bears the name of the outstanding Nizhny Novgorod pilot. We plan to expand our cooperation and will launch new scientific, educational and outreach projects with our Kyrgyz friends in the near future," said Oleg Trofimov, Rector of Lobachevsky University.

As part of their visit to Kyrgyzstan, Nikita Avralev, UNN Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, and Alexander Gorylev, Deputy Head of the International Cooperation Office, visited the Institute of Innovative Professions in Bishkek and presented Lobachevsky University’s educational programmes to the students of the Institute. This event was held in the newly opened Lobachevsky Lab, a joint educational space of the Institute and UNN.

Students of the Institute of Innovative Professions took an active part in the Eurasian Olympiad that was held by the Eurasian Network University during the current academic year and became its winners. Four winners were awarded diplomas and became master's students of Lobachevsky University within the quota of the Russian Government.

Musapar Orozaliev, Rector of the Institute of Innovative Professions, noted the successful start of the Lobachevsky Lab project: "Over the past six months, we have organised open lectures by Lobachevsky University faculty, held joint scientific events, and currently we are in the final stage of coordinating several joint educational programmes".

To further develop cooperation, the UNN management will visit Bishkek in autumn 2024 to take part in the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Institute of Innovative Professions, which will include the official opening of the joint educational space of Lobachevsky University and the Institute of Innovative Professions - Lobachevsky Lab.
