Lobachevsky University develops cooperation with Huawei

On February 10, a representative delegation of Huawei Company visited Lobachevsky University. Within the framework of the visit, Elena Zagaynova, Rector of Lobachevsky University, met with the delegation headed by Mr. Xu Wenwei, Director of the Board and President of the Huawei Institute for Strategic Research, and Mr. Zhou Hong, President of the Huawei European and Russian research institutes. The meeting participants appreciated the potential for cooperation and the results already achieved.

Huawei shows significant interest in cooperation with Lobachevsky University in some new areas: laser technology, neurotechnologies, memristive technologies, and supercomputing. For Chinese guests, presentations were organized of UNN research projects and visits to a number of laboratories in order to familiarize them with the innovation potential of the University. In particular, the Engineering Center presented the information about its activities. The guests were also briefed about research results in high-performance computing, supercomputer and memristive technologies, neurotechnologies and brain-computer interfaces. The delegation also visited the UNN Laboratory of Extreme Light Fields.
