Oleg Trofimov, Rector of  Lobachevsky University, Maria Vedunova, Director of the UNN Institute of Biology and Biomedicine, and Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, visited MSU-BIT University in Shenzhen.

It should be recalled that in April an agreement was signed with Lomonosov Moscow State University and MSU-BIT University in Shenzhen regarding the development of joint educational programmes leading to the award of three diplomas. During the visit to Shenzhen, the parties discussed concrete steps to materialise their common intentions.

Besides, the members of the delegation also discussed the implementation of a joint English-language bachelor's degree programme in Biology, under which students of MSU-BIT will come to UNN for a year's study. They also met with students and with the university management.  New areas and forms of cooperation in science and education were proposed.

During the visit to China, the delegation also visited the Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, with which UNN has a long-standing relationship. More than 60 students from the Chinese university have already completed their studies at Lobachevsky University, and UNN will be expecting new students from China in the near future.

"The development of academic exchanges was one of the main topics at the meeting with the university management. As a result of the talks, we agreed to launch a joint master's programme and develop research cooperation in a number of relevant areas," said Oleg Trofimov
