Lobachevsky University enhances academic ties with universities in Shandong Province

Lobachevsky University has announced the launch of comprehensive cooperation with a number of higher education institutions in Shandong Province, People's Republic of China.

The key partner in this new initiative is Qingdao University, a reputable multidisciplinary institution in China. The parties have signed agreements to jointly implement educational programmes in the medical field.

During the visit, Natalia Grigorieva, Director of the UNN Institute of Clinical Medicine (ICM), and Daria Solovyova, Deputy Director for International Cooperation at ICM, studied in detail Qingdao University's infrastructure and assessed the advanced methods used to train medical and dental specialists.

Establishing relations with Shandong Medical and Pharmaceutical University (formerly known as Binzhou Medical University), which has recently undergone a name change, marked a significant milestone in the international partnership.  Lobachevsky University's delegation was the first group of foreign officials to visit the university after the official renaming.

Following the talks, a document outlining the development of academic exchanges was signed. The meeting participants formulated approaches to addressing several strategic objectives, including:
  - organising joint educational pathways for students;
  - enhancing research cooperation;
  - initiating joint projects at the intersection of disciplines, particularly in the fields of artificial intelligence and the development of innovative materials for the medical sector.
