In accordance with the decision of the Competition Committee to fund organizations in the framework of Activity 2.1 of the Federal Target Programme «Research and Development in the Priority Areas of the Russian Scientific and Technological Complex Development for 2014-2020» Lobachevsky University is the winner of the joint Russian-Greek Competition (Competition Code: 2017-14-588-0007, Application № 2017-14-588-0007-7972). The name of the Project is  «Research and Development of Memristive Nanomaterials and Electronic Appliances on their Basis for Quantum and Neuromorphic Computing» (MEM-Q). The Project implementation period is 2017-2018. The Project coordinator on the part of UNN is Alexey Mikhailov, the head of a laboratory at UNN’s Research Institute for Physics and Technology. The Project is aimed at obtaining important results in nanoelectronics which will help to create an element base of non-traditional quantum computing systems on the basis of memristive nanomaterials.  The key partners of Lobachevsky University are the National Research Center “Kurchatov Institute” (Russia) and the National Research Center “Democritus” (NCSRD) in consortium with the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTH), University of Patras (UoP) and the Fund of Research and Technologies «Hellas» (FORTH). The Greek partners are famous for their world-known research results in quantum nanoelectronics. The subsidy is 26 mln. rub.
