Lobachevsky University holds an Open Day for master’s programmes with an international focus
Lobachevsky University hosted an Open Day showcasing its master’s programmes with an international focus.
The event was attended by students, graduates of higher educational institutions, and those seeking a master's degree in the fields of international relations, business, law, or communication.
Evgenia Chernykh, UNN Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech, noting the importance of developing international education in the modern world.
"Our international master’s programme is a unique project that brings together several faculties: the Institute of International Relations and World History, the Institute of Philology and Journalism, the Institute of Economics, and the Law Faculty. Through our educational programmes, we aim to cultivate experts with genuine international expertise. We possess all the necessary resources for this endeavour: top-tier teaching staff, a track record of collaboration with international partners, and the backing of foreign colleagues who will contribute to the training process and assist graduates in securing employment," noted Evgenia Chernykh, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at UNN.
UNN is one of Russia’s leading classical universities, with a student body of over 30,000. The university comprises 13 faculties and institutes, six research centres, and three branches.
The university offers 89 fields of study and majors covering 216 educational programmes.The educational process is grounded in the principles of fundamentality and continuity, in the finest traditions of Russian higher education. The international master's degree provides students with the chance to expand their knowledge and receive a top-notch education that meets modern challenges and the demands of the labour market. "Each of the master's degree programmes presented here has its own unique features and benefits. Some programmes include a partial distance learning component, which can be a convenient option if you combine study with work. Other programmes emphasize foreign language acquisition or proficiency, while some place greater emphasis on legal training. The key is to figure out what appeals to you and make the right choice," said Mikhail Rykhtik, Director of the Institute of International Relations and World History.
The event participants also found out about the university’s achievements and the accomplishments of its graduates, employment prospects, practical training and internship opportunities, and got helpful advice on how to successfully apply for a master’s programme.
