Lobachevsky University holds talks on cooperation with the Municipality of Lima
A tripartite videoconference on educational cooperation between the UNN and the Metropolitan Municipality of Lima (Peru) was held on February 13 at Lobachevsky University. The organizer and moderator of the conference was the key partner of the UNN in Latin America - the Latin American-Russian Association for Higher Education (ALAR). The Municipality of Lima was represented by the head of the MUNIBECAS program, Ms. Maricela Vidal, and the international fellowship coordinator Ms. Betty Coronado. Lobachevsky University was represented by the head of the Center for the Examination of Foreign Education Documents Konstantin Kemaev, as well as the students of the UNN Preparatory Department, Salas Chirinos Fatima Xiomara and Valenzuela Castro Richard Steven). At the beginning of the videoconference, the students told about their studies in Nizhny Novgorod and recommended Lobachevsky University to young people in Peru who would like to get high-quality international education.
The UNN and the Municipality of Lima also discussed ongoing cooperation and agreed to continue the annual selection of talented Peruvian school students for studying at Lobachevsky University in the field of economics, in the framework of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service’s AML/CFT Network Institute of which the UNN is an active participant. For the next year, 3 budget-funded places have been already allocated through Rosfinmonitoring for Peruvian students at the request of the UNN.
