Lobachevsky University hosts international school-conference in the field of IT

From November 18 to November 22,  Lobachevsky hosted an international school-conference "High-Performance Computing and Artificial Intelligence."  The school-conference was focused on the application of artificial intelligence and parallel computing models, methods, technologies and software for solving various problems in science, education and industry. The event was organized by the Consortium of the National Center for Cognitive Technologies (NCCT) with the support of the Supercomputing Consortium of Russian Universities and Huawei company. The program included several activities:

- young researchers’ school, which included lectures by leading scholars, master classes and workshops with experts on the application of new tools and technologies for solving relevant problems in different scientific and applied fields;

- research conference on the topics of educational and research activities of the National Center for Cognitive Technologies and the Supercomputing Consortium of Russian universities.

The young researchers’ school was attended by 36 graduate and postgraduate students and young scientists from more than 10 cities of Russia and Kazakhstan. School lecturers included 11 Russian and foreign experts representing academic organizations in Russia (Lobachevsky University, ITMO University, Skolkovo Tech,Perm National Research Polytechnic University, Itseez3D, Huawei), Norway (Oslo Metropolitan University), Poland (Warsaw University of Technology), and Saudi Arabia (King Abdullah University for Science and Technology).
