V Nizhnem Novgorode nachal rabotu Forum molodyh uchenyh gosudarstv uchastnikov SNG Nauka bez granic

The Forum is organized by the Russian Academy of Sciences, the CIS Executive Committee, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Lobachevsky University and the Skolkovo Foundation. The forum is attended by 384 scientists representing 9 CIS countries, including Russian Federation, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Republic of Armenia, Turkmenistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Tajikistan, as well as non-CIS countries (Montenegro, Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of India, PRC).

Stepan Kalmykov, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences, noted during the opening ceremony that science unites researchers regardless of nationality and religion, so the forum became a platform for international exchange without borders.

"Expanding international ties is very important, especially nowadays, and we are glad that our forum has become a sound platform for establishing cooperation between young scientists. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity for interactive communication, which will undoubtedly grow into serious projects, and we are sure to hear about them. It is no coincidence that the forum is called Science without Borders," said Stepan Kalmykov.

Over the four days of the forum, young scientists will present some 250 papers in nine sections: Artificial Intelligence, Technologies of the Future, New Materials, Comfortable Environment, Healthy Generation, Food Security, Preserving Heritage, Creative Personality, and Molecular Engineering. The authors of the best works will be awarded diplomas and cash prizes.

"Young scientists’ creative work is always the creative work of large research teams, where the older scientists pass on their experience to their younger colleagues, where mentors lead the beginners. Lobachevsky University has always been famous for its traditions of scientific knowledge transfer, traditions of combining fundamental science and advanced technologies. I sincerely envy the participants of this event - today’s young researchers, representatives of the world science, because real science is a phenomenon beyond borders," said Elena Zagaynova, Rector of Lobachevsky University.

The programme of the forum includes plenary lectures of RAS academicians, round tables on the interaction of national academies of sciences, universities and the real sector of the economy, expansion and strengthening of scientific and technological links between young scientists of the CIS.
