Lobachevsky University is among top 10 in digital economy universities ranking

Lobachevsky University has been ranked sixth in the digital economy universities ranking among regional higher education institutions from all over Russia. The ranking was compiled by the Autonomous Nonprofit Organisation "Digital Economy" and covered more than 300 universities. They were evaluated according to two criteria: the scale of training of IT professionals and their assessment by digital economy companies.

"An excellent result, which was achieved thanks to the well-coordinated work of the staff of our Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics under the leadership of Nikolai Zolotykh. Thank you, colleagues!", said UNN Rector Oleg Trofimov.

"Lobachevsky University's high position in this ranking testifies to the extremely high demand for and excellent training of our IT graduates. The areas where we are strong are engineering software development, mathematical modelling, artificial intelligence, high-performance computing, system programming, supercomputing and other fields," noted Nikolai Zolotykh, Director of the UNN Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics.
