For the second year in a row, Lobachevsky University is listed in the 801-1000 band in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, one of the most authoritative global university ratings. According to the criterion "Interaction with industrial partners" it is ranked 419th in the list of the best universities in the world. This year’s ranking presented an evaluation of the top 1102 universities from 77 countries of the world, including 18 from Russia (for comparison, a total of 980 universities were ranked last year). Lomonosov Moscow State University has consistently been the leader among Russian universities.
Professor Evgeny Chuprunov, Rector of the UNN, comments on the results of the rating: "Lobachevsky University for the second consecutive year is confidently among the best universities in the world according to Times Higher Education. Moreover, even with the increase in the number of ranking participants compared to last year, we have improved our indicators in such important areas as "Interaction with industrial partners" and "International activities". An important factor contributing to this success is UNN’s participation in the Russian Academic Excellence Project 5-100. Thanks to the state program aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Russia’s leading universities among the world's leading research and educational centers, entirely new conditions and opportunities have been created at the University for the implementation of breakthrough technologies and the development of international activities".
