As part of the celebration of the Day of Russian Science, a tour of the university was organized for school students on February 10. They were  welcomed by Nikita Avralev, Vice-Rector for Public Relations and Maria Vedunova, Director of the Institute of Biology and Biomedicine.  Students of Lyceum No.40  visited the UNN Institute of Biology and Biomedicine, Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics, and the Faculty of Physics where they were introduced to the topics of research conducted at university laboratories. Faculty members answered their numerous questions about various aspects of research work and laboratory equipment.    Lyceum No.40 ranks among the top 200 schools in Russia and is a participant of  Lobachevsky University’s program "University educational cluster".

In the framework of the national educational initiative "Our New School", Lobachevsky University launched its program "University education cluster" in 2012. The program involves 22 best schools of the city and region of Nizhni Novgorod. Under cooperation agreements with these schools, University faculty members teach elective and general education courses, organize meetings to discuss specific topics with school students and prepare them for the Unified State Examination. Some activities take place on the university campus.
