Lobachevsky University ranked among top 10 best Russian universities by the salaries of its graduates

The portal "Superjob for Students" has published the 2019 rating of Russian universities reflecting the level of salaries of university graduates working in the field of economics and finance who finished their studies in 2013-2018. In this rating, Lobachevsky University ranks 10th. 

According to the results of the rating, UNN along with Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University,  shares 2nd place among regional universities after Novosibirsk University.

According to Kirill Markov, UNN Acting Rector, the university has for several years maintained its position in the top 10 of the salary rating of economics graduates.

“Among regional universities, we are now in the top three in Russia. This fact confirms that our efforts to reform economic education in our university as part of the 5-100 project, which resulted in the creation of one large Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship incorporating several previous units, give their well-deserved results. Employers are to a large extent involved in the process of training economists at our university, they know our graduates who are in great demand. All this is reflected in a high level of our graduates’ salaries. I would especially like to note that more than 70% of our economics students successfully find jobs in the field of their training in the Nizhny Novgorod region,” emphasized Kirill Markov.

The average salary of university graduates in this field is currently 70 thousand rubles, an increase of 2 thousand compared to 2018. The average score of the Unified State Exam also increased, reaching 82.7.
