Lobachevsky University ranks among the top 300 universities of the world in natural sciences

In 2016,  Lobachevsky University for the first time took part in the Round University Ranking (RUR) in the field of natural sciences. It is now listed among the top 300 universities, ranking 256th in the world, and occupies the 5th place among Russian universities. Lobachevsky University also made it to the top 400 in the field of technical sciences, ranking 345th, and to the top 500 in the "Life Sciences" category where it occupies the 426th place.

This year’s leader among Russian universities is Moscow State University that ranks first in Russia in 5 out of 6 subject areas. According to UNN Rector, Professor Evgeny Chuprunov, this ranking confirms the high status of Lobachevsky University as one of the leaders in the field of research. 

"Lobachevsky University has earned its reputation as one of the leading research centers in the world. It carries out research at the forefront of science using the most advanced equipment and recruiting scientists of world renown. This has been made possible also thanks to the implementation of the Russian Academic Excellence Project, in which UNN takes part", - said Evgeny Chuprunov.
