Lobachevsky University ranks in the top 10: graduates in economics among the highest-paid in Russia

UNN has made it into the top 10 list of Russian universities with the highest salaries for graduates in the field of economics and finance. Lobachevsky University secured the 9th position in the ranking. According to the research, the average salary of UNN economics graduates has risen by 10,000 roubles and now stands at 135,000 roubles per month. Notably, 78% of young professionals choose to build their careers in Nizhny Novgorod, staying to work in the city after completing their studies.

The study involved both public and private universities, including classical universities and specialised economic institutions. It utilized a vast database of resumes from the SuperJob service (over 50 million profiles) and other publicly available sources. The data collection period lasted for two months.

For each university, at least 70 resumes of graduates from relevant faculties were analysed. The sample excluded resumes of interns, junior specialists, and applicants with less than a year of work experience in their field. Only positions at the frontline staff and management levels in areas such as corporate finance, banking, audit, consulting, economic planning, investment analysis, and accounting, posted within the last 365 days before the rating release, were considered. At least half of the resumes analysed belonged to specialists who had already found employment with income meeting their expectations.
