Lobachevsky University represented at the EAIE international exhibition and conference

Lobachevsky University  took part in the 31st Annual EAIE Conference and Exhibition in Helsinki, Finland from September 24 to September 27, which was held at the Messukeskus Expo and Convention Centre.

The EAIE Conference and Exhibition is a major  forum for higher education professionals in the field of international higher education. This event was the largest conference of EAIE (European Association for International Education) to date with over 6000 participants from  54 countries. Among 800 organizations taking part in the conference, there were Russia’s major universities participating in the 5-100 Project.

Lobachevsky University was represented at the exhibition by Irina Leonova, Head of International Affairs Department. She held numerous meetings with existing and potential partners of Lobachevsky University from Finland, Italy, Spain, Germany, France and other countries. The issues discussed during these meetings included the establishment and development of joint educational programs, exchange of students and teachers, international research projects and the joint submission of applications for Russian and international scientific and educational competition programs.

On the first day of the exhibition, a working meeting was held with the University of Oviedo (Spain), where a signed agreement on joint supervision of PhD students was handed over to Lobachevsky University by the Spanish partner university. Meetings were also held with the University of Turku (Finland), the University of Mannheim (Germany), and the University of Almeria (Spain).
