Lobachevsky University represented in 10 RAEX subject rankings

For the third time, RAEX Agency has published subject rankings of Russian universities in the Three University Missions rating family. The new edition includes 36 fields of study: mathematics, a wide range of natural science and engineering majors, social sciences and humanities, as well as pedagogy, medicine, and agriculture. The 2024 list of the best educational institutions includes 170 universities from 43 regions of Russia.

Lobachevsky University is represented in 10 subject areas in this year’s rankings. UNN has consolidated its positions in physics (17th place), sociology (11th), and history and archaeology (14th). The University was listed in three subject rankings for the first time: electronics, radio engineering and communication systems (16th place), psychology (18th) and hospitality industry (17th). The University has also retained its place in mathematics (18th place), came 11th in chemistry, entered the top 10 in biology, and the top 20 in political science and international relations.

Subject rankings of Russian universities are based on an assessment of the three university missions - educational, scientific, and social. The rankings aim to answer the question: which universities provide the best educational and research training for students in a particular subject area, taking into account the university's contribution to social development. The rankings are based solely on objective indicators and do not use the results of expert surveys.
