Lobachevsky University researchers are on the list of the most famous people in Nizhny Novgorod

Two UNN staff members were honoured as laureates in the "TOP50: The Most Famous People of Nizhny Novgorod" list for 2025, according to the Sobaka.ги magazine. In the Science and Technology category, Maria Koryazhkina, a researcher at the Research Institute of Neuroscience, was marked for her work on an innovative neuroprosthetic device to help people with epilepsy. This device, which can recognise and suppress epileptic seizures, represents a significant advancement in neurotechnology.

In the Sport category, the prize was awarded to Vitaly Egolin, a postgraduate student at the Faculty of Radiophysics, who won the title of world draughts champion among students.
