On 27 July, an online ceremony of awarding certificates to students of the pre-university training programme implemented jointly with the Latin American-Russian Association for Higher Education (ALAR) took place at Lobachevsky University. During ten months, trainees of the UNN Centre of Educational Programmes for International Students from Latin American countries studied Russian, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, History and Social Sciences in a remote format. At the end of the course, 14 students from Bolivia, Colombia, Panama, Peru and El Salvador successfully passed their final examinations and plan to continue their education in the first year of study at different faculties of Lobachevsky University. Some of them will study at state budget-funded places within the quota for foreign nationals established by the Russian Government.

Alexander Bedny, Vice Rector for International Affairs of Lobachevsky University, Jorge Cieza de León Tuesta, Director of ALAR, and Ekaterina Smirnova, Head of the Centre of Educational Programmes for InternationalStudents, congratulated the graduates of the joint programme and wished them further success in their studies.
