Lobachevsky University significantly improves its standing in QS World University Rankings 2019
In 2018, according to QS World University Rankings, the UNN has improved its standing by rising 100 points higher compared to the rating of 2017. Now, it occupies a position in the range of 601-650. Lobachevsky University has also significantly improved its performance in the category "Faculty to Student Ratio" that characterizes the quality of education, rising from position 258 in 2017 to position 226 in 2018.
In 2018, the QS World University Rankings marks its 15th anniversary. More than 4,000 universities from 85 countries took part in this year’s rating study. The final list comprises 1011 best institutions of higher education, including 27 universities from Russia.
According to UNN Rector Professor Evgeny Chuprunov, these figures confirm that Lobachevsky University is developing successfully as one of the world's leading scientific and educational centers.
"The fact that in the face of increasing competition in the global educational market and a significant increase in the number of QS participants from year to year the UNN shows a visible improvement of its standing, confirms that our university is developing dynamically, it provides a high level of education and research and holds leading positions in many research areas," said Еvgeny Chuprunov.
In the ranking compiled by the British company Quacquarelli Symonds, the best educational institutions of the world are determined based of the following six criteria: academic peer review, faculty/student ratio , citations per faculty, employer reputation, international student ratio, international staff ratio.
