Lobachevsky University student Daniil Zhalilov wins World Sambo Championship

Daniil Zhalilov, a student of the UNN Institute of Clinical Medicine, took part in the World Cadet, Youth and Junior Sambo Championships held in Larnaca (Cyprus) on 11 - 13 October. Athletes from 33 countries participated in the event.

Daniil Zhalilov won the gold medal in the 88 kg weight category, thus adding to the medal count of the Russian national team. Moreover, the athlete also qualified for the classification standard “Master of Sports, International Class”.
