Lobachevsky University students claim 3 medals at All-Russian badminton competition

The All-Russian badminton tournament "Spring Shuttlecock" took place in Orekhovo-Zuyevo (the Moscow region). A total of 132 athletes from 13 regions of the country took part in the competition, including 53 Masters of Sports and 50 candidates for the title of Masters of Sports.

Students from the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Masters of Sports Maria Golubeva and Alexander Guryanov, once again demonstrated their skills: Maria Golubeva won silver in the women's singles category, while Alexander Guryanov secured two bronze medals in men's doubles and mixed doubles.

The tournament served as an important preparation stage for the Russia Cup, scheduled for May 19–24 in Gatchina (Leningrad region). Lobachevsky University athletes also plan to take part in these prestigious competitions.
