On October 4, at the Park of Science and Art of the "Sirius" Education Center, Russian President Vladimir Putin presided over a meeting of the supervisory board of the autonomous non-profit organization  "Russia - the land of opportunities." Participants of the meeting discussed the main results of their organization’s activities and its priorities for the future, as well as ideas for new projects for the platform "Russia - the land of opportunities." During the meeting, Vladimir Putin talked to Nizhny Novgorod participants of the "Digital Breakthrough" contest, Lobachevsky University students Anastasia and Kirill Skosyrev.

Kirill Skosyrev noted that the "Digital Breakthrough" contest has become the largest Hackathon in the world that contributed to the solution of real-world problems. The Skosyrev family has developed an application with augmented reality for assembly shops of industrial companies. "Despite the fact that we failed to win in the finals of this competition, Hackathon has become for us a starting point to participate in interesting projects and working with large companies. For example, now we have started cooperation with a large heating systems enterprise in Nizhny Novgorod.

Lobachevsky University where we are studying has also paid attention to us. At our university, we are launching a project to create virtual reality simulators for education. We would very much like to see this kind of competition and "Digital Breakthrough" held on an annual basis, because it is a real opportunity for little-known entrepreneurs to launch a startup businesses or simply to find a job as a programmer," said Kirill Skosyrev.
