Lobachevsky University students win All-Russian competition for beginner translators

Students of the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History (IIRWH) became prize-winners of the Fourth All-Russian competition for beginner translators "At the Crossroads of Cultures, Languages and Ideas".

The contest was organised by the Foreign Languages Institute of the Turgenev Orel State University for  undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students of Russian universities.

UNN IIRWH fourth-year students majoring in International Relations, who study French as a second foreign language, were very successful in the "Translation of a Special Text" category.

Alisa Zhiguleva won the competition, Danil Shatskikh came second and Milena Shpigovskaya took third place.

The students’ supervisor was Olga Smirnova, Head of the IIRWH French Centre.
