Lobachevsky University students have been named among the winners of the Russian Code Cup (RCC). RCC is an annual individual programming competition for programmers over 18 years of age held by the Mail.Ru Group in collaboration with the ITMO University since 2011. This year's finals were held on September 18, with 50 representatives of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Lithuania, China, Japan, South Korea, Iran, Poland, Slovakia and Finland taking part. Lobachevsky University was represented by Vladislav Epifanov, a postgraduate student of the Institute of Information Technology, Mathematics and Mechanics, and Nikolai Kalinin, a student of the Advanced School of General and Applied Physics, taking second and third place respectively. The winner was Gennady Korotkevich, a student of the ITMO University (St. Petersburg).
