On February 1, the most important and interesting  research projects of Lobachevsky  University in physics, chemistry, mathematics and biology in 2021 will be presented in a seres of lectures.

Mikhail Ivanchenko, Vice-Rector for Research, will speak about the university's key research areas and highly ranked publications in the natural sciences; Nikolay Zolotykh, Director of the UNN Institute of Information Technologies, Mathematics and Mechanics will present the main achievements in mathematics and its applications; Maria Vedunova, Director of the UNN Institute of Biology and Biomedicine, will talk about the latest developments in the biology of ageing, COVID-19 severity diagnosis and cancer immunotherapy; Vladimir Chuvil’deev, Director of the UNN Physics and Technology Research Institute, will highlight new research and development projects in physics and materials science; Alexander Nyuchev, Head of the Laboratory of chemistry of natural compounds and their synthetic analogues, will talk about some interesting results in the field of organic chemistry.

There will also be a discussion on the development of approaches for obtaining biologically active compounds ("drugs") using microreactors and light.
