Lobachevsky University takes part in international educational exhibition in Tashkent

Konstantin Kemaev, Deputy Vice-Rector of Lobachevsky University, Ekaterina Smirnova, Head of the Department for International Student Affairs, and Tatyana Podolskaya, Deputy Executive Secretary of the Admissions Committee, presented educational programmes and opportunities of UNN at the international educational exhibition-fair "Russian Education. Tashkent 2023". The venue for the exhibition was provided by the Tashkent branch of MGIMO University. A total of 53 Russian universities took part in the event. It was organised by the Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in Uzbekistan.

The opening ceremony was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Uzbekistan Oleg Malginov, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Pavel Shevtsov, Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of Uzbekistan Shakhlohon Turdikulova, and representatives of Russian universities.

Over the 2 days of the exhibition, the UNN stand was visited by more than 400 persons, including prospective students and their parents, school teachers, representatives of educational agencies. Among the most popular fields of study were Law (including the joint bachelor's programme with Tashkent State Law University), Psychology, Economic Security, medical and IT specialities offered by Lobachevsky University. Most of the applicants intend to try their luck when applying for state scholarships under the quota of the Russian Government, and also to take part in the Olympiad "Future Researchers - the Future of Science" organised by Lobachevsky University on an annual basis.
