Lobachevsky University takes part in international exhibition «Education and Careers in AML/CFT»
On June 6 and 7, the International Network Institute on Anti-Money Laundering and Combating the Financing of Terrorism held an international exhibition on AML/CFT Education and Careers at the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University in Bishkek. More than 200 school and university students from Bishkek's educational institutions took part in the event. A packed programme was prepared to provide the participants with the opportunity to learn as much as possible about the specifics of financial security training and subsequent work in the field.
Lobachevsky University was represented at the exhibition by Alexander Gorylev, Deputy Head of International Cooperation Office, Associate Professor of the UNN Department of Constitutional and Municipal Law. Prospective students from Kyrgyzstan were introduced to the educational programmes offered by Lobachevsky University and also learnt about the admission procedures for studies on a state-funded and fee-paying basis.
A seminar on relevant aspects in implementing network cooperation between universities on training personnel in the field of anti-money laundering/combating the financing of terrorism was also held during the exhibition. Along with representatives of Russian and Kyrgyz universities, the seminar was attended by K. Turgunbekov, Chairman of the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, A. Zulkharneev, acting head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Bishkek, L. Omurbekova, Director of the Training and Methodological Centre of the State Financial Intelligence Service under the Ministry of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic. During the workshop discussion, Alexander Gorylev presented the experience of Lobachevsky University on cooperation with employers in the development of educational programmes.
