Lobachevsky University takes part in the Forum of Rectors of Russia and Kyrgyzstan

Alexander Bedny, UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking, took part in the Third Forum of Rectors of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. Participants also included Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic Dogdurkul Kendirbaeva, Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov, Head of the Department for Interregional and Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation Igor Maslov, as well as executives of more than 50 universities of both countries.

Alexander Bedny presented Lobachevsky University's experience in the training of professionals for the EAEU economy, as well as the most interesting projects and international programmes in the Eurasian space.

As part of the Forum's exhibition programme, Lobachevsky University together with its colleagues from the State University of Management presented the Eurasian Network University and its new project, the Eurasian Olympiad, to be launched shortly.

On the sidelines of the forum, Lobachevsky University signed new cooperation agreements with a number of universities in Kyrgyzstan, including Osh State University, Arabaev Kyrgyz State University, Akhunbaev Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, Ryskulbekov Kyrgyz Economic University, and the Institute of Advanced Professions.

"Training human resources for the EAEU economy was one of the main topics discussed at the Third Forum of Rectors of Russia and Kyrgyzstan. Lobachevsky University has 40 partners in the EAEU countries (four new ones were added as a result of participation in the Forum), we implement various forms of cooperation: unique educational programmes, academic mobility, joint research, international Olympiads and intellectual competitions. Our new project to be launched in the near future deserves special attention. It is the Eurasian Olympiad, an international student Olympiad of the Eurasian Network University, of which UNN is a member. This is an excellent example of effective networking between the EAEU universities, aimed at promoting the participating universities and attracting talented students to pursue master's and postgraduate studies, and it is also an expert platform for legal regulation and international education in the EAEU," said Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs and Networking.
