On October 3, the round table "The Eurasian vector of education export: successful cases of interuniversity cooperation" was held at Lobachevsky University in the framework of the International Educational Forum "Russian language and the Eurasian vector of development of education, science and culture". Taking part in the discussion was a team of UNN experts headed by Alexander Bedny, Vice-Rector for International Affairs, Konstantin Kemaev, Deputy Vice-Rector, and Ekaterina Smirnova, Head of the Department for International Student Affairs.

This online discussion platform brought together representatives from Kazakhstan, China, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina. A wide range of relevant topics of mutual interest for higher education institutions from different countries was offered for discussion.

“Through participation in this discussion platform we will have the opportunity to discuss the success stories and problems in the work of our universities, their cooperation in the development of the Eurasian educational space. Our focus is also on the activities of international network universities, double-degree programmes, and the search for synergies, mutual interest and new innovative forms of joint work, allowing us to achieve new results, corresponding to the challenges and demands of the labour market,“  said UNN Vice-Rector for International Affairs Alexander Bedny.

A substantial part of the session focused on innovative solutions for international university cooperation related to the development of international innovative entrepreneurship programmes.

“ We are aware that joint educational programmes and international cooperation in education develop dynamically along with the educational requirements for programmes that are relevant to the universities in our countries. That is why such experience of interaction is very valuable,“  Alexander Bedny noted.

In the final part of the roundtable, the participants discussed the following issues:

- What are the problematic aspects in the process of cooperation in science and education in the Eurasian space?

- Which educational programmes are most promising as an export potential for the development of higher education?

Additionally, some proposals for optimising Eurasian university cooperation in science and education have been drawn up.
