Lobachevsky University team wins the prize of the MosCode international festival
From March 16 to March 17, the MosCode Festival sports programming competitions were held in Moscow at the Moscow Physics and Technology Institute. This event takes place annually on the eve of the International Collegiate Programming Contest. More than 300 students representing 42 universities from 25 countries, including teams from the National University of Singapore, Haifa University (Israel), Tishreen University (Syria), University of Texas at Austin (USA), Technical University of Munich (Germany) and other major institutions of higher education took part in this programming contest.
The team of Lobachevsky University consisting of Nikolai Kalinin (UNN) and Aleksey Danilyuk (HSE) took the second place in the contest.
“We are proud of our students’ results, they once again demonstrated that Lobachevsky University occupies a leading position in Russia and in the world in the field of programming and high-performance computing,” said Kirill Markov, Acting Rector of Lobachevsky University.
This year’s winners are the current world champions, the team of Moscow State University. The third place went to the VKontakte team. The festival was organized by the IT Education Development Center of the Moscow Physics and Technology Institute, MegaFon and Acronis with the support of Huawei, JetBrains and Yandex. The MosCode Festival was the final “training session” before the ICPC Programming World Championship Finals, which will be held from March 31 to April 4 in Porto (Portugal).
