On 27 May, Lobachevsky University will host two sections: "Physics" and "Chemistry" as part of the 26th Nizhny Novgorod Session of Young Scientists (Engineering and Natural Sciences). The opening ceremony of the session will take place at 10:00 in the UNN Scientific Demonstration Hall. After the opening ceremony, Alexander Nyuchev, Associate Professor of the host university's Organic Chemistry Department, will give a lecture for students and postgraduates on "Synthetic organic chemistry in flow microreactors: concept and possibilities".

Historically, Lobachevsky University has been a major supplier of research staff in the fields of physics and chemistry to the Nizhny Novgorod region's industry and academia. Students and postgraduates of the University every year demonstrate a high level of their research papers in the Physics and Chemistry sections, becoming winners and prize-winners of the session.

The Nizhny Novgorod Session of Young Scientists (Engineering and Natural Sciences) has long been a traditional event bringing together students and young scientists from universities, RAS institutes and high-tech enterprises of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region. The aim of the session is to intensify research work of postgraduate students from leading scientific schools of the Nizhny Novgorod region, to promote exchange of scientific ideas and achievements of young scientists, communication of postgraduate students with the region's leading scientists, and interdepartmental scientific interaction. In the Year of Science and Technology in Russia, the session will be held at the largest universities of the region: Lobachevsky University, Alekseev Technical University, University of Architecture and Civil Engineering, and Privolzhsky Research Medical University.
