Lobachevsky University to host Orient Express Festival

The annual festival celebrating the Chinese New Year will take place at the UNN Friendship House on January 29 at 14:00.

The event will be held in the format of a conversation club, which will allow participants not only to learn about the traditions and customs of the Oriental culture, but also to actively participate in discussions and exchange of opinions. This is a unique opportunity for students, teachers and all those who wish to enjoy the festive atmosphere and enrich their knowledge of China.

The festival will also feature exciting master classes. One of them will be dedicated to the tea ceremony, an important element of Chinese culture. Participants will be able to learn about different types of tea, as well as the art of preparing and serving it.

The programme of the festival also includes a calligraphy master class. The participants will have an opportunity to try their hand at this exquisite art, mastering the basic techniques of writing with traditional tools. Calligraphy in China is considered not only a way of writing characters, but also a form of art that requires patience and concentration.
