Master classes by leading KPMG experts start at Lobachevsky University
On February 11, the UNN Institute of Economics and Entrepreneurship (IEE) opened a series of practice-oriented master classes titled "Auditing: From Theory to Practice" and "Current Issues in the Application of International Financial Reporting Standards in Practice". The event was organised under the long-term cooperation agreement between Lobachevsky University and KPMG Auditing Company. The master classes are conducted by leading KPMG experts and are intended for students specialising in accounting.
Welcoming remarks to the participants were made by Elena Chumankina, UNN Vice Rector for Youth Policy, Professor Alexander Grudzinsky, IEE Director, Svetlana Romanenko, Director of the UNN Career Center, Dmitry Litvinenko, Director of Audit Services of the KPMG Volga Regional Centre, and Professor Igor Mizikovsky, Head of the Accounting Department.
"Undoubtedly, the master classes not only contribute to the effective mastery of practice-oriented competencies, but also open a window of opportunities for future career development to our students who will get advice from highly qualified experts in the field of auditing, consulting, accounting and business process analysis that will help them to set up their own business", the organisers noted.
Upon completion of the master classes, participants will receive personal certificates from KPMG and the most successful students will receive an invitation to join the company.
