The defence of theses of the first edition of the Master's programme “Psychology of Sport, Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle“ took place at the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports.

Some of the graduates defended their theses in a double-degree programme before an international degree awarding committee. The committee comprised professors, doctors and candidates of sciences in psychology from the UNN Department of Sports Medicine and Psychology, representatives of employers from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, and professors of the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski" (Sofia, Bulgaria).

Master’s students’ work was highly appreciated by all members of the committee.

The Department of Sports Medicine and Psychology of the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports has implemented a network Master's programme in Sports Psychology together with the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski"  (Sofia, Bulgaria). In the academic year 2021-2022, master’s students of the UNN Faculty of Physical Education and Sports studied at the National Sports Academy "Vasil Levski"  in a distance learning format. In the course of preparing their master's theses, the students carried out research under the supervision of the academic director of the Master's programme, Head of the UNN Department of Sports Medicine and Psychology S.V. Sokolovskaya,  with scientific advice from the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of the NSA "Vasil Levski", Doctor of Psychological Sciences, sports psychologist of the Bulgarian national rhythmic gymnastics team T.S. Yancheva. 

As a result of the joint degree programme, master's students receive two diplomas: from Lobachevsky University and from NSA "Vasil Levski", Bulgaria’s leading sports university.

Two graduates of the Master's programme have already received offers to continue their research at UNN, while the rest will be employed in sports organisations in the Moscow region, St. Petersburg and Nizhny Novgorod.
