The 22nd International Conference and School for Young Scientists “Mathematical modelling and supercomputer technologies” was held at Lobachevsky University on November 14-17. The conference and school were organized by the Mathematical Centre “Mathematics of Future Technologies” and the Research and Education Centre for Supercomputer Technologies of Lobachevsky University.

About 70 plenary and panel reports were presented at the conference, which were delivered by scientists from more than 16 cities across Russia and abroad. The event's high scientific level was evidenced by the fact that there were 14 Doctors of Science and 35 Candidates of Science among the participants. The topics of the conference and school covered a wide range of problems of mathematical modelling of complex processes and numerical methods of research, as well as new methods of supercomputing aimed to solve state-of-the-art problems in various fields of science, industry, business, and education.

UNN researchers presented at the conference the results of their work at the Mathematical Centre “Mathematics of Future Technologies” and the Volga Research and Education Centre for Supercomputing Technologies.

The school for young scientists was focused on the basics of heterogeneous programming using the new Data Parallel C++ programming language and included two days of intensive training. Lectures and master classes were given by leading experts from Lobachevsky University and IT companies, some examples of porting scientific modelling software to DPC++ were demonstrated to the participants.
