More than 110,000 applications submitted to UNN in the first month of the admission campaign

Over the course of one month, from June 20, 2026, the admission committee of Lobachevsky University received over 110,000 applications from applicants across 85 regions of the Russian Federation for bachelor’s, specialist’s, and master’s programmes. Compared to the previous year, the number of applications increased by approximately 30%.

Rector of Lobachevsky University Oleg Trofimov explains that there are several reasons for the increase in the number of applications: "Applicants have become much more conscious about choosing a university: they want not just a diploma, but real competencies with which they can confidently build a career. We also feel feedback from our region: employers actively come to us with offers of cooperation, participate in educational programmes, offer internships and joint projects. All this creates clear career prospects for applicants already at the admission stage, and demand is naturally growing."

Among the leading regions in terms of the number of applications submitted to Lobachevsky University are Moscow and the Moscow region, the Vladimir region, the Yaroslavl region, the Kirov region and the Krasnodar territory. 

Based on the number of applications submitted during the first month of the campaign, the most  popular areas of study were: "Fundamental Computer Science and Information Technology", "Law", "Advertising and Public Relations", "Economics", "Management", "Applied Informatics", "State and Municipal Administration", "Personnel Management", "Applied Mathematics and Computer Science", "General Medicine". Among the foreign applicants, the most popular study areas were "General Medicine", "Dentistry", "Fundamental Computer Science and Information Technology", "History", "Economics".
