Myths about cancer will be discussed at the UNN Science Park

On March 15, Sergey Gamayunov, Medical Director of the Nizhny Novgorod Clinical Oncological Centre and  Chief Oncologist of the Nizhny Novgorod region, will give a lecture titled "Cancer: Myths and Reality" at the UNN Science Park. The audience will learn about the reasons for the increase in the number of cancer cases, key features of tumour growth, and modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment. The lecturer will address some of the common misconceptions that are often voiced not only by patients, but even by doctors (non-oncologists). Participants of the event will also learn how to protect themselves and their families, and about the peculiarities of screening for cancer.
