In 2026, the National Centre for Physics and Mathematics (NCPM) will run 10 science schools for students and young researchers.

Intensive science and education events for young professionals in the key research areas of the NCPM will take place in Sarov. They will be supported by the Rosatom State Corporation and RFNC-VNIIEF, as part of Russia's Decade of Science and Technology.

NCPM schools feature lectures and workshops delivered by top scientists and experts from major  Russian universities, RAS institutes, research centres, and high-tech companies. During the school, every student and postgraduate student canpersonally discuss current scientific issues with prominent representatives of theacademic community.

Students in their final years of bachelor's, specialist's, and master's programmes, as well as postgraduate students and young researchers under 39 years of age, who study and work in in natural sciences and related research areas, can submit applications to take part in the NCPM schools. The programme committees of the schools will select participants based on the submitted applications. Selected participants can present a report (oral or poster) on the results of their research. Accommodation, meals, scientific, and cultural programmes for school participants are provided free of charge, and travel expenses are reimbursed.

This year, the science school programme is expected to be just as engaging and eventful as in previous years. As per tradition, the lecturers will be top experts in the areas covered by the NCPM scientific programme. The first science school, focused on research in strong and ultra-strong magnetic fields, will start in May. The season will conclude with a school on mathematical modelling using supercomputers.
