"New classical university" in RUR rankings

According to the results of subject rankings published by Round University Ranking (RUR), Lobachevsky University has confirmed its status as a "new classical" university. It has improved its traditionally strong positions in natural sciences and demonstrated rapid growth in social sciences and humanities, becoming one of the leaders among Russian universities. In 2020, Lobachevsky University was ranked 240th in the global ranking for the Life Sciences field (RUR Silver League of universities) and 317th in the global ranking for the Social Sciences field (RUR Bronze League). In the field of Humanities, UNN ranks 323rd in the 2020 global ranking (RUR Bronze League), and in the fields of Technical Sciences and Natural Sciences Lobachevsky University is again listed among the top 500 universities in the world.
