Home - News RSS feed - New opportunities for students: UNN launches joint programmes with universities in China

Lobachevsky University is actively building academic partnerships with top universities in China. A range of joint educational programmes is scheduled to be launched in 2025–2027 to enhance the university's international standing and improve the quality of professional training.

Starting in 2025, Lobachevsky University will collaborate with Anhui University of Foreign Languages to offer a Bachelor's programme in Accounting taught in Russian. In medical education, joint programmes in General Medicine and Dentistry are planned with Sichuan University and Binzhou Medical University in 2025–2026. A joint residency programme with Shantou University is set to begin in the 2026/2027 academic year, expanding opportunities for training highly skilled professionals.

At the same time, the UNN academic mobility system is actively developing. In 2024, 15 Lobachevsky University students completed internships at Shandong Transportation University with the support of the Shandong Provincial Government; in 2025, 6 more students will  join the programme.

Also in 2025, a reciprocal student exchange programme will commence with partner universities in China:

— Heilongjiang Institute of Foreign Languages,

— Harbin Financial Institute,

— Sichuan University of Foreign Languages,

— Shanghai University of Politics and Law,

— Zhengzhou University.

As of today, over 50 Chinese students are enrolled at UNN in the most in-demand humanities and social sciences programmes. Their top choices include Master's programmes in International Relations, Management, and Philology, as well as Bachelor's studies in Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, and Biology. This reflects the increasing interest of international students in Russian education at Lobachevsky University.
