On June 28, the international conference "Nolinear Maps and Their Applications" (NOMA-2017) was launched at the UNN Institute of Information Technologies, Mathematics and Mechanics. The co-organizer of the conference, together with  Lobachevsky University,  is the Steklov Mathematical Institute. The idea of ??holding regular European schools-conferences "Nolinear Maps and Their Applications" (NOMA) belongs to the Japanese scientists Tetsushi Ueta and Yoshifumi Nishio and the French scientist Danièle Fournier-Prunaret. ‎

The first NOMA conference was held in 2007 at the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Toulouse (France). Since then, NOMA conferences have been held regularly on a bi-annual basis at various European universities conducting advanced studies in the field of nonlinear mappings and their applications. The conferences took place at the University of Urbino (Italy, 2009), University of Evora (Portugal, 2011), University of Zaragoza (Spain, 2013), and University College Dublin (Ireland, 2015).
