International students discuss current issues of biology and medicine

The UNN Friendship House provides a space not only for international students' cultural and other extracurricular activities, but also for events to promote science in a popular form. On February 12, international students of the Insitute of Biology and Biomedicine prepared and conducted an interesting lecture on today's topical problem of viruses. In a clear and understandable form, medical students presented in English and Russian the mysteries of viruses and discussed methods to prevent their spread. They focused on the nature of viruses, which insert their DNA in the genetic code of their host, on the differences between viruses and bacteria and diseases caused by them. In the future, it is planned to hold such events on a regular basis.
