Online round of the annual Olympiad in Russian as a foreign language starts

The first online round of the annual Olympiad in Russian as a Foreign Language “Lobachevsky/RU” started on March 15. The Olympiad is aimed at popularizing and increasing interest in learning the Russian language, supporting talented young people, identifying the communicative competencies of foreign citizens who are learning Russian. This year, foreign students and trainees from different countries of the world studying at universities of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod region were invited to the Olympiad, which is held in 2 rounds. The first round (by correspondence) takes place from March 15 to April 15.

The on-site round will take place on April 26, 2019 at the UNN Institute of Philology and Journalism. As the final part of the event, in connection with the Year of Theater in the Russian Federation, a parade of theatrical études “PANORAMA” will also be held, where foreign students of Nizhny Novgorod universities will present theatrical performances in Russian.
