Home - News RSS feed - Open-air popular science festival "42" draws almost five thousand guests

On Saturday, June 17, the fourth popular science festival "42" was held on the campus of Lobachevsky University. It was organized by the UNN’s "Lobachevsky Lab" Science Park. Despite the rainy weather, the event gathered almost five thousand people.  Ten lecturers, including science journalist Aleksey Payevsky, Doctor of Sciences (Biology) Irina Mukhina, Director of the UNN Physics and Technology Research Institute Vladimir Chuvildeyev and Chief Researcher of the IAP RAS Yefim Pelinovsky, offered the guests of the festival their exciting presentations.  

The festival brought together more than 25 different organizations engaged in the popularization of science and education. Representatives of Lobachevsky University also organized their own platforms at the UNN Institute of Biology and Medicine, the UNN Institute of International Relations and World History, at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Chemistry. Also taking part in the event were  representatives of the Nizhni Novgorod Planetarium, five schools of robotics from Nizhni Novgorod, the Russian Geographical Society, the Information Center of Atomic Energy and other communities.
