Open Day at Lobachevsky University

The university-wide Open Day was held at Lobachevsky University on October 21. It was attended by more than 600 applicants and their parents. The guests were welcomed by Olga Petrova, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, Oleg Trofimov, Acting Rector of UNN, and Nikita Avralev, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development.

"We are pleased to welcome the young people to the Open Doors Day at the region’s oldest higher education institution, our National Research University with a strong research background and education that is closely related to research work. We take part in large government programmes and train professionals for specific tasks with guaranteed employment and long-term prospects for professional development. The University is a driver of the Nizhny Novgorod region's development and a pillar for implementing the region's strategy," said Oleg Trofimov.

During the event, representatives of UNN faculties and institutes held entertaining masterclasses for the guests. Everyone also received counselling from experts of the Admissions Committee and student councils. Prospective  students together with their parents attended a meeting with the deans of faculties and directors of institutes, where they got answers to their most pressing questions.
