 On October 18, Lobachevsky University hosted a traditional university-wide Open Day. The event attracted over 900 attendees.

At the campus of Lobachevsky University on Gagarin Avenue, applicants and their parents took part in master classes, learned about the diversity of the UNN's faculties and institutes, and visited a fair of student organisations and an exhibition prepared by employers. Everyone had the opportunity to take professional tests and receive advice from staff members of the UNN Admissions Office.

UNN Rector Oleg Trofimov opened the event in the assembly hall and spoke to future applicants about science, education, and student life at Lobachevsky University.

"Lobachevsky University will celebrate its 110th anniversary next year. It is the largest university in the Nizhny Novgorod region. It has 13 faculties and institutes, six research institutes, four branches, and 13 dormitories. We offer high-demand educational programmes and conduct fundamental and applied research in various fields. We work closely with leading companies and organisations. At Lobachevsky University, students get not only knowledge but also the opportunity to realise their potential in science, culture, sports, and social activities. The university is always here to help you make the right choice," the Rector said in his opening remarks.

Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Evgenia Chernykh also addressed the guests. She summed up the results of the last admission campaign noting that in 2025 the number of applications for admission to UNN had significantly increased reaching the record of more than 102 thousand. Dr. Chernykh  also spoke about the application process and the specific requirements for admission next year.

After the general meeting, applicants and their parents attended meetings organised by Lobachevsky University’s individual faculties and institutes, met with their deans and directors,

received additional advice regarding admission, learned more about the various fields of study available, and found out about the extracurricular activities offered at the university.
